My contribution to their Landscapes of the Imagination series is BRITTANY – A CULTURAL HISTORY
This takes a thematic approach with chapters such as Stone, Sea, Forest, Town, Island relating landscape to Breton legend, history, society and culture. The book draws on the rich oral legacy which places Brittany firmly in the Celtic tradition, as well as the works of writers, poets, painters and travellers who have been inspired by the region.
