I have been asked to contribute to a whole variety of publications and projects over the years, from a guide to writing Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror (Tarcher Penguin) and a prose/poetry collection On the Tracks of Hercules to a BBC Radio 3 broadcast with composer Erland Cooper about the Breton Atlantis legend in the series of programmes Cities of the Imagination. I have advised on a BBC programme featuring Bear Grylls and seaweed, and been featured on French TV for my work on the Nantes-Brest Canal.
One of the most enjoyable things on my very varied menu has been to write prose and poetical texts for collaborative exhibitions with artists on subjects like Breton landscape and the Parish Closes. Articles about Brittany have appeared in the Independent and the Guardian travel sections as well as popular magazines like Voyage (Brittany Ferries) and other French-interest periodicals. Interviews about my work and experience of life in Brittany have appeared in print and online from time to time, most recently for the cultural website allthingsbreton.org
